What Happens at a Dental Check-Up
Step 1: Medical History Review
Your appointment begins with a review of your medical history. We'll ask about:

Your bite — how your upper and lower teeth come together. Bite issues can cause uneven wear, jaw pain, and headaches.
Soft tissues — the tongue, cheeks, floor of the mouth, palate, and throat are checked for any unusual lesions, discolouration, or swelling. This is also an oral cancer screening.
Existing dental work — any crowns, fillings, bridges, or implants are checked for integrity and fit.
