Wisdom Teeth Removal

Safe, comfortable extraction of problematic wisdom teeth - including impacted and partially erupted cases. Sedation options available.

Wisdom teeth (third molars) are the last adult teeth to emerge, usually appearing in the late teens or early twenties. For many people, they cause no issues - but when they become impacted, partially erupted, or crowded, removal is often recommended to prevent pain, infection, and damage to neighbouring teeth.

Dr. Jin-Ho Cho is experienced in all types of wisdom tooth extractions, from straightforward erupted teeth to complex impacted cases. His 35+ years of surgical experience means patients can feel confident they are in capable, careful hands.

We take a thorough approach: an X-ray assessment is carried out before any extraction to evaluate the position of the tooth and its relationship to surrounding structures. This allows Dr. Cho to plan the safest and most comfortable approach for your individual case.

Local anaesthesia is used for all extractions, and sedation options are available for patients who feel anxious about the procedure. Our team will ensure you are well-informed and comfortable before, during, and after your appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all wisdom teeth need to be removed?

Not necessarily. Wisdom teeth that have fully erupted, are well-positioned, and can be cleaned properly may not need to be removed. However, if they are impacted, causing pain, crowding, decay, or repeated infections, removal is generally recommended.

How long is recovery after wisdom tooth removal?

Most patients feel significantly better within three to five days after a straightforward extraction. For more complex impacted cases, recovery may take up to one to two weeks. Swelling, some bleeding, and mild pain are normal in the first couple of days.

Can all four wisdom teeth be removed at once?

This depends on your individual case and the complexity of each tooth. Some patients prefer to have all four removed in a single appointment; others prefer to do two sides separately. Dr. Cho will discuss what is most suitable for you.
